We are two days into the new year, which means I’m one day late writing this post that I planned to write yesterday, which tells you everything you need to know about how the holiday season has been!
We were pretty non-stop over here, but it was filled with lot of good stuff – friends, family, food, laughs and very minimal tears!
Here are some moments that we captured…

Our sweet Sophie had a tough couple of weeks after Rob gave her a filet mignon for her birthday…. Needless to say, she cannot handle that kind of rich food anymore and left evidence of it all over our house. We got a little worried for a bit there, but she has been on the mend. And Clare continues to be her #1 fan, always so excited to see her and give her sweet kisses.

Granny and PopPop came for Christmas, of course! We had the best time with them and the girls were so thrilled to have them here. I so wish that they lived closer and that we could have them around all the time, but we try to make the most of their time when they are here!
We also celebrated Christmas with some dear friends, which meant a house full of kiddos and a bit of chaos, but honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way!

For Christmas, Santa (and family members) brought the girls several gifts, but the big one was a new doll house. It was a big hit!

I’m very grateful to be on the other side of all the holiday hullabaloo, with everyone still healthy (for now!) and happy! 2025 was a strange year – lots of things going on in the world to bring down our spirits and question where the good is. It makes me even more thankful for these two beautiful girls, always making me smile and laugh. Their love for each other and for life is truly contagious, and as I look toward the year ahead, knowing there will be more uncertainty and reasons to feel down about the state of the world, I want to lean into them and their joy. Children are a beautiful reminder that change is constant and that what is true today may not be true tomorrow, for better or worse. So, there is really no point in worrying or stressing because life moves on – more quickly than we realize or would like – and so we have to just be present today and find our joy wherever we can.

Happy New Year!
