All the sudden I looked up and it was fall! We’ve had such a great and busy summer, filled with lots of time with friends, swimming, and a ridiculous amount of ice cream.
One of the best treats was when Maggie came to visit and got to meet Clare Bear! It’s so hard having your best friend live across the country from each other and knowing that we won’t get to really know each other’s kiddos. But these visits are still so sweet, and it means so much to see someone you love dearly cuddle your baby.

For the 4th of July, we celebrated Chloe’s friend Callie’s 3rd birthday. The girls are about a week or so apart in age and are so sweet together. Chloe’s bestie, Bryn, was there as well. Love watching those girls together!

After the party, we walked with friends over to the golf course to watch fireworks. It was Chloe’s first time seeing them and she was pretty 50/50 on the whole thing. She thought they were pretty but didn’t like how loud they were – fair enough!

We spent so much of this summer at the outside and at the pool. Chloe has been in swim lessons and has become a much stronger swimmer this summer. Her confidence still surpasses her skill set, but she’s a real fish out of water and her swim teachers say that she is one of the strongest swimmers at 3 years old that they’ve seen.
Clare didn’t swim much, but she was happy to be dipped in the pool now and then! Mostly, she spent the summer trying to roll over. She did it once early in the summer and then never again. However, now she’s doing it regularly!

In August, we took our first trip to the Cape as a family of 4! We were a little hesitant going into it, but we had the best time. Chloe was at the perfect age to really enjoy the beach, and Clare was at the perfect age to sleep at the beach!

One of the highlights of the trip was our trip to Provincetown. We did the whale watching tour, which we always love to do, and we saw a lot of whales and a whole fleet of dolphins! But the real treat was walking around the town with Chloe. She was so friendly, saying hello to everyone and petting every dog she saw. At one point, we were in a store and someone said, “That little girl is so cute!” and another woman said, “Oh, that’s Chloe.” Clearly, she made an impression.

With summer coming to a close, it’s back to school time. Chloe has moved up to the Pre-School class and Clare has started at Robin’s Nest in the Infant classroom. Clare has done great with the transition and all her teachers comment about what a sweet and happy baby she is. Chloe has had some bumps, but I think she will get there!

The latest thing that makes me smile is watching Chloe make Clare laugh. Clare gets such a kick out of watching her big sister do silly things and makes these big giggles. It’s so sweet seeing them interact and makes me excited for what’s to come as Clare get’s older and can play with Chloe even more!
